BEAT FEHLMANN

Beat Fehlmann is artistic director and managing director of the Liechtenstein Academy of Music and the multi-award-winning Ensemble Esperanza.

From 2018 to 2025, he was artistic director of the German State Philharmonic Orchestra Rhineland-Palatinate. Prior to that, he directed the Southwest German Philharmonic Orchestra Konstanz and worked with the Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Graubünden and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Nations.

He studied clarinet, conducting and composition and completed an Executive Master’s degree in Arts Administration.

He has been awarded the German Orchestra Culture Prize (2022) and the German Orchestra Foundation Innovation Prize (2024), among others, for his innovative work.
